Pernix is seeking a proactive problem solver to join our team in Lombard, Illinois. The right candidate will work well with a diverse team (domestic and overseas). To be successful they will need to build strong communication links with the Government clients, DCSA, project teams, employees, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage the security program for all organizational FCLs
- Ensure compliance with 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM and U.S. government contract requirements.
- Management of all PCLs- Collect necessary PCL information and initiate Personnel Clearance (PCL) actions in DISS/NBIS and SWFT
- Maintain and keep all company records compliant with NISPOM and contract requirements (i.e., Facility Documents, Personnel Documents, Contract DD254s)
- Review and update government systems (NISS, DISS/NBIS & SWFT) and act as system administrator
- Submit change condition notifications to DCSA via NISS (i.e., Change in Address, KMP, Operating Name, Ownership, FOCI)
- Update company policies and procedures (SPP, ITP, Initial Security Briefing, Annual Security Awareness Training, etc.), and create and implement new policies/procedures as needed
- Responsible for all security education curriculum and training for corporate employees, site teams, subcontractors, and subsidiary staff, and maintain records
- Conduct and report Annual Self-Inspections to DCSA
- Prepare for all Security Review information for DCSA and be the primary contact for DCSA’s assessments
- Work closely with the ISSM to maintain information system requirements
- Prep and submit FCL or Sponsorship Package in the NISS
- Submits site mobilization and visit requirements- electronical country clearances and Visits/VARs
- Manage FOCI monthly, quarterly and annual requirements
- Work closely with HR, the Legal team, IT and the Executive Team to understand business demands and incorporate security requirements
- Work with business development from pre-bid stage to award regarding security requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- MUST have a U.S. Government Security Clearance and the ability to maintain a security clearance at the required level (pass a criminal background and credit check).
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Knowledge of NISPOM Rule (32 CFR Part 117)
- 5 years of experience as an FSO
- Ability to travel 1-2 times a year stateside
- Preferred to have already completed the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities certificate
- Insider Threat Training Certificate a plus
- DISS (NBIS)/NISS/SWFT experience
- FOCI & DOS contract experience a plus
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks timely and with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of Microsoft products
- Great communication and follow-up skills
- Good understanding of management, prioritizing and completing tasks
