Pernix is seeking an Administrative Coordinator with a diverse skill set, strong attention to detail, ability to take initiative. This position will serve as administrative support to the Director of Marketing and Corporate Services and Facility Security Officer. This position has an established career path to become the Facility Security Officer. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have 2-3 years of administrative support experience, have excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and execute tasks timely with a high degree of accuracy, have great communication skills (both written and verbal), and be willing to learn.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in managing the security program for all organizational facilities. To include;      
    • Interacting with the Asst. FSO company to manage internal requests (requesting DD254s, managing new PCL requests, new hire orientation, monitoring change conditions, processing visit authorizations, etc.)
    • Maintain and keep all company records
    • Update policies and procedures as needed
    • Handle classified mailing of documents as needed
  • Management of the Applicant Tracking System. To include:
    • Assist hiring managers with job postings, sourcing and screening candidates
    • Source candidates through job boards as needed
  • Supporting company-wide training initiatives
  • Assisting with Marketing efforts as needed
  • Other administrative support as needed

  • Candidates MUST BE U.S. Citizens who are eligible for a Department of Defense Security Clearance (ability to pass a criminal background and credit check)
  • Candidates with existing clearances are a plus
  • Candidates already familiar with the National Industry Security Program are a plus; otherwise candidates will be expected to go through online FSO training.
  • Candidates who already have FSO experience are a plus
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have proficient knowledge of MS Office
  • 5+ years of working experience preferred, with at least 2-3 years in an administrative support role
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must have a professional demeanor and be able to discreetly handle sensitive information

We are looking to hire for this position ASAP. This position cannot be full-time remote (see below info about flex schedule). 

Salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000/year, dependent on experience. Benefits package is very generous and includes medical, dental and vision insurance (employees can choose between PPO, HSA, or HMO; with the company paying ~70% of the premiums), company provided ST/LTD and life insurance (with option to buy-up), along with other optional insurance coverages. There is also a matching 401k. Pernix offers a flex schedule (4x 9hr days, and 1x 4hr day), with half-day work-from-home Fridays. As of now, employees are also permitted work-from-home Mondays. Flex Schedule also includes options for 4-day weekends at major holidays. You’ll also be eligible for 136hrs of PTO, and up to 11 holidays off (using optional long weekends).
